Hear about RossOps from the Mayor of Auckland

As part of 100 Startups in 100 Days, the countdown to Auckland Startup Week, Auckland Mayor Wayne Brown dropped by the Newmarket Innovation Precinct (NIP) to meet the RossOps team. He heard how RossOps works on the factory floor, and decided to show New Zealand what we do.

You can also watch it on LinkedIn, Facebook or Instagram.

In the Mayor's words

Factories are bleeding money and expertise every single day.

That's the problem RossOps is solving.

They're a nifty Auckland-based team that have developed an AI platform to capture all that operational knowledge floating around the shop floor. It's the stuff that gets shared in group chats, mentioned in handovers and repeat problems that never get fixed.

Well RossOps is putting a stop to that, meaning factories can operate with less downtime, meaning less money wasted. That's exactly the sort of smart tech we need.

Great work RossOps!

Where it started: pet food

Pet food is a fascinating industry, and the origin story of RossOps. Our co-founder Loïc saw on Nestlé's packaging lines how much better a line runs when everyone on shift can reach the expert. So when the Mayor visited, Loïc shared that story with him, and even got him to hold up a bag of Purina.

Built in Auckland

RossOps is built in Auckland and runs in manufacturing plants across New Zealand and Australia. Thank you to Mayor Brown and his office for backing the city's startups, and for taking the time to tell our story.
